The Rock Creek Area Community Projects Board purchased the school effective July 1 and it is the Rock Creek Area Community Center. It will become a multi-faceted Community Center. The Redstone Schoolhouse, a daycare center, opened August 1st and may be contacted at 440-563-3315. It provides child care for infants, preschool, and school age children. Oassis also provides before and after school programs, along with tutoring. The center also houses business incubators for start up businesses.

The projects board is a non-profit corporation seeking help, financially or otherwise, to keep this Civil War era facility operating.The Board has received endorsements from political and business leaders throughout the county.
